As Scholastic, Inc. reorganized its focus on professional education, Grassroots worked side by side with an emerging business unit to define and construct a rich eLearning program. This included the definition and buildout of all front and back end systems to provide for an advanced experience for Teachers to better their own performance. Our work with Scholastic continues as we build the Enterprise Edition of their flagship suite of student learning applications, and create a back end system to manage customers.

Grassroots conducted a rapid assessment of the existing systems based on Postgresql and Ruby on Rails deployed on both Heroku and Amazon Web Services. The GRT team made an immediate recommendation to migrate front-end interfaces to AngularJS and to adapt existing Ruby on Rails applications to act as an API. Grassroots was able to quickly address capacity issues without interrupting ongoing revenue-generating applications.

Consumers Union (Consumer Reports Online)

Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports, is an independent, nonprofit testing and information organization serving general consumer interest. CU is a comprehensive source for unbiased advice about products and services, personal finance, health and nutrition, and other consumer concerns. Since 1936, CU's mission has been to test products, inform the public, and protect consumers. When CU needed to build a new content-management system to handle their massive library of product reviews, they came to Grassroots Technologies.

Amplify is reinventing teaching and learning in the core subjects of English Language Arts, Math and Science. Amplify partners with leading academics, lifelong educators, award-winning artists, world-class game developers and experienced programmers to deliver groundbreaking learning experiences that deeply engage students.

Grassroots Technologies, Inc is helping guide Amplify's Core Statistics/Math Curriculum. The tools involved are cross platform and mobile compliant and are highly interactive between students and teachers.

Forbes, Inc. - Forbes Investors Advisory Institute

Grassroots worked with Forbes Corporate to gather requirements, define and subsequently buildout the architecture of varied institute sites. Major aspects included coordination with external subscription house for credit card processing and subscription processing, managing profiles and controlling content delivery.
